About us
Indus Ethnics is a premium ethnic lifestyle brand dedicated to preserving India’s rich textile heritage through handwoven, handcrafted, and sustainable products. Every creation reflects skilled craftsmanship, timeless traditions, and contemporary elegance.
Yes. Most of our products are woven and finished entirely by hand by skilled artisans. Because each piece is individually crafted rather than mass-produced, you may notice slight variations in weave, texture, embroidery, or color from one item to the next — these aren’t flaws, but a mark of authenticity that makes every piece one-of-a-kind.
Authenticity
Authentic handwoven textiles often feature minor irregularities in weave, natural texture variations, and unique artisan characteristics — individual craftsmanship rather than machine-made perfection. These details are signs of authenticity, not defects.
For us, sustainability means creating products responsibly — using thoughtfully sourced materials, supporting artisan livelihoods, minimizing waste where possible, and making timeless pieces meant to be cherished for years, not discarded after a season.

Craftsmanship
Questions about handloom weaving, natural dyes, and heritage craft authentication.
Handwoven fabrics are created on traditional looms by skilled weavers, rather than industrial machines. This time-honored process preserves traditional techniques and gives each fabric a distinct character and quality that machine-made textiles can’t replicate.
Handcrafted means the product is made by hand with a high level of manual skill, care, and attention — rather than being mass-produced in factories. It reflects the personal touch and expertise of the artisan behind every piece.

Yes. Sustainability is one of our core values. We focus on responsible sourcing, handcrafted production, minimal waste, and ethical manufacturing wherever possible — so every piece is as kind to the planet as it is beautiful to wear.
Because our textiles are handcrafted using natural dyes, slight variations in shade are completely normal and part of what makes each piece unique. Additionally, screen settings, brightness, and lighting conditions can affect how colors appear on different devices — so the actual product may look subtly different from the image online.

General Questions
Natural dyes may release a slight excess of color during the first cold wash — this is completely normal. Wash the item separately the first time; after that, the color settles deeper into the fibers and becomes stable.
Handcrafted pieces are never mass-produced. Each one is created by skilled artisans who invest significant time, effort, and expertise — techniques like Ajrakh, handwoven cotton, Tangaliya, and Bandhani can take days or even weeks to complete. When you buy handmade, you’re supporting artisan livelihoods and helping preserve a living heritage.
